What is an Equality Plan?
An Equality Plan is a set of measures and actions whose main objective is to eliminate gender discrimination and promote equal opportunities in the workplace. These plans are fundamental tools to promote equal pay, the reconciliation of work and family life, and the promotion of diversity and inclusion.
The Organic Law 3/2007 in its article 46 it establishes that an equality plan is a orderly set of measures for the effective equality of men and women in all kinds of organizations.
The Equality Plans of companies must be the result of a diagnosis of the situation of equality in the company. Any public or private company, regardless of the number of people on the staff, can draw up their own Equality Plan, however there is an obligation to draw up an Equality Plan for companies more than 50 employees
